NYACT Leaders Hold Strategy Session with DCJS Officials

NYACT Leaders Hold Strategy Session with DCJS Officials

NYACT leaders, representing both the insurance industry and law enforcement profession in New York State, came together in Albany to meet with officials and staff from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).  DCJS is the administrator of the New York State Motor Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Program, which provides grants to support law enforcement training efforts. NYACT is one of two statewide training organizations funded by the grant.

The purpose of the strategy session was to discuss and analyze the training needs of law enforcement as they pertain to vehicle theft and insurance fraud, as well as promote better collaboration and communication between all stakeholders in this important process.  All who attended the session were pleased with the results and many of the ideas covered will be incorporated into training seminars, workshops and conferences developed and offered by NYACT.
